Cloudy cold day with snow in the air – the dogs are not complaining

My happy, playful Mini American Shepherd Charlotte, had her hips and elbows radio-graphed and evaluated by OFA. (To be official this must be done after they are 2 years old. ) The results came back Hips FAIR and Elbows Normal. Great News

Border Collies are know to be reserved with strangers, so they don’t mind keeping 6 feet away!  Playing soccer is  always a favourite  game  when  staying  a home

Last weekend we attended the Brantford & District Dog Show. Both brothers showed really well. On Friday show #1  Jake went Best of Winners over two females and earned his 2 point major which is required for a Canadian Championship. Pleased to announce that Asset Kennels has moved. A week long of moving equipment, household contents and the dogs we are now at our new location just outside of Canfield Ontario. Our newest adventure has begun. After many years of searching for the right second breed, I have stuck to my herding and active route and have chosen the MAS as the right breed for me. These guys are so much fun, very smart and mix well with the border collies at play time.

Yes we did it again…Asset Kennels is proud to own and handled the #1 Border Collie in Canada in CKC for Rally Obedience. This year the award goes to Asset’s Cap, Woof. He is the son of Ice who won it last year, so truly keeping it in the family!

Very proud of this young man, winning his third Best Baby Puppy in Group ( Three for Three). Although many people state they don’t want a show dog, they unknowingly  want a dog with good conformation, this means good structure which will go a long way to a healthy happy dog.
