ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR BUYING BORDER COLLIE PUPPIES

How does my deposit work?

A deposit plus signed deposit agreement is required to reserve a puppy for you. By placing the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the information on this page.

Please read carefully before placing your deposit.

• Deposits are non- refundable. Once your deposit has been received, a puppy will be reserved exclusively for you, and other prospective families will be turned away. Deposits cannot be refunded for any reason, including change in personal circumstances.
• Deposits are transferable to a future litter if you are unable to proceed.  Transfers must be arranged with us in writing and are subject to availability. Transferred deposits are subject to the current pricing in effect for the future litter and not the pricing at the time the original deposit was placed.
• Should the breeder be unable to provide a puppy matching the purchaser’s requested gender or colour (NOT markings) the purchaser can either select another gender or colour, receive a full refund of the deposit or request the deposit be transferred to a future litter. 
• If you purchase a puppy from another breeder due to timing/colour or if you change your mind the deposit is non refundable.
• The deposit will serve as a credit towards the final amount owing.

BORDER COLLIE PUPPY SELECTIONS:

Puppy selections are made in order that deposits are received, based on the date and time each deposit is received. If a litter does not produce enough puppies to fulfill reservations, any unfulfilled deposits will automatically transfer to the next available litter, unless otherwise agreed upon.

While we do our best to accommodate each purchasers preferences, the breeder cannot guarantee availability of a specific gender, colour or markings.

The Breeder reserves the right to retain any puppy from any litter for breeding, showing  or other purposes. The Breeders decision will take precedence  over the reservation list. Should this affect a Purchasers reservation, their deposit will be transferred to the next available litter or be refunded

Due to the safety, health and well-being of our own dogs and puppies, we do not allow outside dogs on our property at any time.

We do not allow families directly into our breeding facility due to the easy transmission of bacterial infections and/or diseases.  We will gladly introduce you to the sire and dam of your puppy individually when you visit.  Our dogs and puppies health is number one priority with us. We have nothing to hide and everything to protect.

We kindly ask that all families please use a public washroom prior to arriving to our kennel. We do not have a public washroom available to our customers. We are less than 15kms from town.

Returning a Puppy or Adult Dog 

We understand that life circumstances can change , and despite the best intentions, there may be situations where a puppy or adult dog needs to be returned. 

If you are unable to keep your dog, the Breeder MUST be contacted first. We are committed to ensuring that every dog bred by us is placed into a safe, suitable and loving home. The Purchaser understands that no refund or reimbursement will be provided for a returned puppy or adult dog unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Breeder at the time of the surrender.

The Purchaser may not surrender, sell, give away , or place the dog without offering the dog back to the Breeder first.

We are a registered business (not a back yard breeder) therefore all sales are subject to HST.

AKC Limited Registration: ALL of our puppies are sold with AKC limited registration (non-breeding registration). The papers will be provided upon proof of spay/neuter.

Genetic Health Guarantee: Your puppy will be guaranteed not to be affected by genetic CEA/CH, DH, IGS,NCL5, SN ,TNS, MDR1.

Hip Dysplasia Guarantee: Your puppy will be guaranteed not to be affected by genetic Hip Dysplasia by 26 months of age.

If your pet is diagnosed by your vet and confirmed by OFA/ DNA test to have genetic disorder mentioned please contact the breeder to discuss options available. Breeders liability is limited to the purchase price of the puppy less deposit.

We do not guarantee against intestinal parasites, coccidia or guardia. Please take the time to research these parasites and how to control them. The medication we give ( Safeguard for Giardia) is 96% effective. These conditions have a lifecycle and further medication may be required.

Puppy de-worming will take place at 2, 4 & 6 weeks of age. The medications are 96% effective so please talk to your vet about continuing medications as your puppy grows. Worms have life stages and medication does not kill of stages. Please consult with your vet to ensure continued protection.

BORDER COLLIE PUPPY VACCINATIONS:

Vaccinations are given at the appropriate age. Your puppy will have received Distemper & Parvovirus vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age. They will require another booster vaccine 4 weeks later, then another booster 4 weeks later. Please arrange booster vaccines with you vet. Rabies will be due at 16 weeks. These are considered core vaccines. Others are available and should be discussed with your vet to determine if they are appropriate for your area.
